We are excited to announce the Public Sector Show is back and we are celebrating our 10th Anniversary.

Over the past 10 years the Public Sector Show has brought together leaders, decision-makers and influencers from across the breadth of public sector and private sector to discuss and showcase how we are shaping and improving public service delivery, creating efficiency and value for money.  We are delighted to be back and look forward to our 10th Anniversary Show at a time of unprecedented change.

Public Sector Show 2021 – Building Back Better, Greener, Faster Public Services

Recovering from COVID-19 through Better Process, Better Innovation, Better Social Value

Over the past 12 months as the country tries to battle back from the coronavirus (COVID-19) and finalise Brexit, there has been increasing pressure on the public sector. The increasing need to deliver effective public services, better management of social value efforts and deliver positive outcomes to communities and citizens across the UK has pushed the public sector to the limit and highlighted the need for the Government (and the wider public sector) to deliver services in a way that provides high-quality public service delivery, at a reduced cost and improved operational efficiency, as well building a resilient workforce that can deliver them and ensure we are “Building Back Better, Greener, Faster Public Services”.

Unleashing the Potential of Public Procurement

With UK spending some £290 billion on public procurement every year, this huge amount of Government spending is vital in leveraging to play its part in the UK’s economic recovery – opening up public contracts to more small businesses and social enterprises to innovate in public service delivery and meeting their net-zero carbon target by 2050.  Current thinking suggests the Government needs to use public procurement more strategically to bring about a fairer economy and a more efficient and effective Government, with a real focus on social value, transparency and the creation of a level playing field. With the transition period for leaving the EU having expired, the Transforming Public Procurement Green Paper has proposed the most significant changes to the buying and supplying processes within the public sector.

Recovering from COVID-19 through Better Process, Better Innovation, Better Social Value

With this in mind the Public Sector Show 2021 will be an ideal platform for senior procurers; decision-makers; influencers from across local and central government; the wider public sector and private sector suppliers to innovate and come together to address and debate the key challenges facing the sector, and work together to “Build Back Better, Greener, Faster Public Services” in these unprecedented times.

We look forward to seeing you and celebrating our 10th Anniversary.
